Gary has completed work from Oklahoma Wesleyan University and Asbury Theological Seminary and holds degrees in theology and ministry from Indiana Wesleyan University and Liberty University.
The Sawyer’s come from significant ministry experiences in Springfield, MO; Austin, TX; and Charlotte, NC before coming to the Greater Binghamton area in 1988 to start Calvary Community.
Enjoys the Gaither Vocal Band and really likes Kenny Rogers “Planet Called Texas.” Is waiting for the Dallas Cowboys and the NY Yankees to make their comeback. In spite of the 2015 Superdish – follows The Seahawks Russell Wilson. Reads John Grisham novels and studies John Maxwell writings. Collects old west cowboy art. Best – cherishes wife and love of his life, Diane. Both are having a ball loving on their grandkids and just being proud of M & M & M & M and their spouses.
